Bridging theory and practice, this training equips participants with practical tools and leadership skills to implement and steer multi-stakeholder One Health initiatives.

Description

The training programme One Health Leadership – From Concept to Collective Project Leadership offers a structured and operational approach to the One Health framework.

Building on the interdependence between human, animal and environmental health, the course explores the strategic and methodological scope of the approach for organising collective action in response to complex territorial or sectoral challenges. Implementing a One Health approach requires developing a shared vision, engaging stakeholders with diverse mandates and perspectives, and structuring coherent intersectoral governance.

The training combines:

  • an experiential learning approach through the facilitation of the One Health Fresco workshop;

  • theoretical inputs on key issues and the international institutional landscape;

  • the practical application of the methodology developed by the Quadripartite (WHO, WOAH, FAO, UNEP).

Participants work on practical case studies, whenever possible drawn from the commissioning organisation's own projects, in order to develop directly applicable tools: analytical frameworks, project steering checklists, evaluation criteria and advocacy elements.
